Menethil Statuette
The Menethil Statuette is a rare silvery figurine portraying the late King Terenas Menethil II as a youthful paladin with an upraised warhammer. Lost in a shipwreck off the coast of the Wetlands, it is an exceptionally scarce memorial of Lordaeron's fallen sovereign.
A Rare Relic of Lordaeron
The statuette depicts King Terenas Menethil II in his early years, portrayed as a long-haired paladin lifting a hammer toward the heavens. Terenas was notoriously humble during his reign and disliked personal monuments, meaning few statues or likenesses were ever commissioned in his honor. Following the collapse of the Kingdom of Lordaeron to the Scourge, almost all such relics were obliterated, making this surviving effigy extraordinarily valuable to the Alliance.
Loss in the Bogs
The statuette was cargo aboard the merchant vessel Blind Princess, bound for the Alliance harbor of Menethil. When the ship came under attack by aggressive Bluegill murlocs off the marshy coast, the cargo was scattered and the statuette ended up trapped in a half-buried barrel on the shore. With local threats like the Dragonmaw orcs hovering nearby, local defenders hurried to send the retrieved icon south to Stormwind City, where Highlord Bolvar Fordragon entrusted it to the Cathedral of Light.
