Blackthorn Ridge

Blackthorn Ridge is a jagged, bramble-choked valley tucked away in the southern reaches of the Barrens, immediately north of Razorfen Kraul. The area crawls with aggressive Razormane quilboar guarding their thorny settlements. High on the ridge above sits the camp of the orc shaman Brine, watching over an unusually pure pool of mountain water.

Nestled near the Great Divide and the towering burls of Razorfen Kraul, Blackthorn Ridge is dominated by dense thickets of massive, sharp briars. The Razormane quilboar consider these grounds ancestral territory, using the natural barricades to ambush outsiders and stage skirmishes into the southern Barrens. Despite the constant danger, travellers seek out the ridge for the hermit orc shaman Brine, who tends a camp perched above a spring noted across Kalimdor for its remarkable clarity and spiritual purity.
