Furen's Instructions

Furen Longbeard does not hand out exceptional armor lightly. Having already tested a warrior's resolve with simpler smithing tasks, the dwarven craftsman offers to hammer out an extraordinarily resilient suit of mail, provided the adventurer fetches the rare components himself. To ensure nothing is forgotten, Furen provides this detailed checklist, sending his charge across continents on an arduous scavenger hunt.

The instructions outline a dangerous journey spanning both the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. Crafting the hardened links requires dozens of scorched spider fangs from the damp caves of the Wetlands, horns harvested from fire-breathing chimaeras in the crags of Stonetalon Mountains, and a prized galvanized horn from the chimaera matriarch herself. The final, alchemical catalyst is a vial of volatile phlogiston, held deep within the quilboar bastion of Razorfen Kraul.
