Powdered Azurite is a refined dust derived from the mineral veins beneath Hillsbrad Foothills. The human workers of Azurelode Mine delve into the earth to extract this distinctive blue stone, pulverizing and packing it for trade and metallurgy. In the hands of a skilled smith, the dust acts as a crucial flux or additive when working dense metals, enhancing durability and lending unique resilience to finished armor.

Though native to human-held tunnels across the Great Sea, Powdered Azurite is recognized by veteran Horde blacksmiths for its exceptional metallurgical properties. Thun'grim Firegaze, an aging orc armorer residing in the Barrens, demands small quantities of the powdered stone alongside refined iron and fiery reagents. Mixed into the smelt, the powder allows him to hammer out the heavy, punishing plating that characterizes his masterwork battle armor.
