WoW Forever Tier List: Where 4 Beta Rankings Agree and Split

There is no single WoW Forever tier list: four published beta rankings (NoobToBoss, RankedBoost, SeeMeta and Kami Labs) grade Balance Druid and Frost Mage B or C, but split on Affliction Warlock, which one grades B and another S. All of them rest on a beta that stopped at level 30, and World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever) launches on November 4, 2026. This page ranks nothing itself.

Quick answer: Fury Warrior is A or S on all four DPS lists. Discipline Priest is S on three healer lists and B on SeeMeta's. Protection Paladin tops two tank lists; SeeMeta's top tank is Protection Warrior. Every list may change at launch.

Six DPS specs on NoobToBoss, RankedBoost, SeeMeta and Kami Labs: Fury Warrior is A, A, S, S; Affliction Warlock B, A, S, A; Retribution Paladin B, A, C, A; Enhancement Shaman S, B, A, B; Frost Mage B, B, C, C; Balance Druid C, C, B, B.
Six DPS specs graded by four sources, October 2026; each site uses its own scale.

A tier list is a map drawn before the roads were finished. Each cartographer below walked the beta and drew what was in front of them.

Key facts

  • NoobToBoss: updated October 19; S to C; DPS, healer, tank and class lists
  • RankedBoost: damage graded October 3, page updated October 17; no S-tier DPS
  • Gamer Guides: updated October 18; based on play to level 20; no tank list
  • SeeMeta: updated October 28; an editorial raid list to be replaced by tiers from real raid logs after launch
  • Kami Labs: simulator snapshot of October 29; healers not ranked
  • Beta cap: level 30; launch cap is 60 (Blizzard)

Which DPS specs do the tier lists rank highest?

No spec leads on all four. NoobToBoss puts Marksmanship Hunter, Beast Mastery Hunter and Enhancement Shaman in S. RankedBoost lists no S-tier DPS at all and puts 13 specs in A. SeeMeta's S tier is Fury Warrior, Combat Rogue, Fire Mage and Affliction Warlock. Kami Labs's S tier is Survival Hunter, Demonology Warlock and Fury Warrior. Fury Warrior is A or S everywhere.

They split most on a few specs. Affliction Warlock is B (NoobToBoss), A (RankedBoost), S (SeeMeta) and A (Kami Labs). Retribution Paladin is B, A, C and A. Enhancement Shaman is S, B, A and B. Balance Druid is C, C, B and B, and Frost Mage is B, B, C and C.

Which healer is ranked highest?

Discipline Priest is S on NoobToBoss, RankedBoost and Gamer Guides but B on SeeMeta's raid list, which notes that beta builds cut Discipline's main heal. Restoration Shaman is A, S, A and S on NoobToBoss, RankedBoost, Gamer Guides and SeeMeta. Holy Priest is A, B, B and S. Restoration Druid is A, A, S and A. Kami Labs does not rank healers. See best healer class.

Which tank is ranked highest?

Protection Paladin is S on NoobToBoss and RankedBoost, both with Protection Warrior in A and Feral Druid in B. SeeMeta reverses the top: Protection Warrior S, Protection Paladin A, Feral Combat Druid A. Kami Labs ranks threat per second only, with the Druid tank at 1,634, Protection Warrior at 1,402 and Protection Paladin at 1,097, and does not measure survivability. NoobToBoss notes that other sources rank Protection Warrior first for boss tanking. See best tank class.

What do the lists say about PvP?

RankedBoost's PvP list has S for Feral Combat Druid, Arcane Mage, all three Rogue specs and Discipline Priest. Gamer Guides's PvP list has S for Affliction Warlock, Subtlety and Assassination Rogue and Discipline Priest. NoobToBoss has no separate PvP list, names Rogue, Mage, Warlock and Priest as the strongest PvP kits and calls PvP the least reliable part of the beta. Subtlety and Assassination Rogue and Discipline Priest are S on both. See best class for PvP.

Why do the lists disagree?

They measure different things. RankedBoost judges each talent tree against the role and offers a blend with the community's view. NoobToBoss's class list weighs best spec per role, versatility, utility, leveling and the level 60 outlook. SeeMeta judges raid talent trees. Kami Labs simulates 10,000 two-minute single-target fights and warns that the order can move on several targets. Dates matter too: RankedBoost graded DPS on October 3, while SeeMeta's notes track later beta builds that changed Retribution, Fury, Affliction, Discipline and Feral Combat. See fastest leveling class and best class for dungeons.

What is not confirmed yet

  • Levels 31 to 60, deep talents and raid fights were untestable in the beta; NoobToBoss calls its tiers a snapshot, not a final meta.
  • None of these lists is from Blizzard, and the launch build may change balance.
  • Mobalytics's and Icy Veins's lists would not open for me, so they are not covered.
