WoW Forever Raid Schedule and Reset Day: December 9, Weekly

The WoW Forever raid schedule is simple so far: all three raids unlock on December 9, 2026, and Blizzard says they are currently planned to reset each week. What Blizzard has not published, as of November 6, 2026, is the weekday and hour of the reset or the start time on December 9.

Quick answer: Raids open December 9 (a Wednesday by calendar count) and reset weekly if Blizzard's plan holds. The reset day is not confirmed anywhere I looked, so do not schedule a guild around a guess.

The WoW Forever raid schedule: launch on November 4, 2026; level to 60 during the 35 days after launch; three raids unlock December 9; weekly reset is currently planned; reset day and hour are not confirmed.
What is confirmed and what is not about the raid schedule, read November 6, 2026.

Key facts

  • Unlock date: December 9, 2026 for Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia's Lair (Blizzard raid overview, October 20)
  • Reset: "currently planned" to be weekly for all raids (Blizzard)
  • Reset weekday and hour: not stated in any source I opened
  • Weekday of December 9: Wednesday, by our own calendar count; November 4 was also a Wednesday

What date and time do WoW Forever raids open?

December 9, 2026, per Blizzard, for level 60 characters. That is 35 days after the November 4 launch and 33 days after November 6. No source I opened gives a start time on December 9. Blizzard timed the launch at 3:00 p.m. PST, but nothing says the raids follow the same hour.

What is the WoW Forever raid reset day?

Not confirmed. Blizzard's overview says "With all raids currently planned to reset each week," and stops there. It gives no weekday.

Blizzard Support's Weekly Maintenance Schedule is the place to look. When I read it on November 6, it listed World of Warcraft: Forever only for the launch window (November 3 and 4, PST). The same page showed modern WoW and Classic maintenance on Tuesday, November 3, at 7:00 a.m. PST. Those are different games, so do not assume Forever resets on that day.

A Guild Order wiki page updated September 26 says lockout rules, including a weekly reset and whether the 10- and 20-player raids share lockouts, had not been published in Blizzard's articles. That predates launch, but I found nothing newer that answers the lockout question.

How do raid lockouts work in WoW Forever?

Blizzard's pages say nothing about lockouts. For comparison only, Warcraft Wiki's lockout page records the original game's patch 1.9.0 schedule: Molten Core, Blackwing Lair and the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj weekly, Onyxia every 5 days, Zul'Gurub and the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj every 3 days. It also says patch 1.3.0 added the /raidinfo command, which lists saved raids and their ID. If Blizzard's weekly plan holds for Onyxia's Lair, it would differ from that original 5-day cycle. That is a comparison, not a Forever rule.

Can you run more than one raid in a week?

Unconfirmed. Blizzard has not said whether Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit share a lockout, or whether one character can join several groups in a week.

How should you plan around the schedule?

  • Reach level 60 first. Blizzard says the gap exists to give players time to reach level 60 and prepare groups. See how long level 60 takes.
  • Start Onyxia's attunement early. Blizzard says to start early, bring a few friends for the elite quests and leave time for several high-level dungeon trips. See the attunement guide.
  • Treat the other two as unannounced. Warcraft Tavern's raid guide lists attunement for Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit as to be announced.
  • Form the group in advance. Raid sizes and loot are in raid size and loot rules, and the dates beyond December are in the roadmap guide.

What is not confirmed yet

  • The reset weekday and hour, and the start time on December 9.
  • Shared or separate lockouts for the three raids.
  • Whether "currently planned" survives to December; Blizzard used that wording.

How can the Lore Forever add-on and Willo help with raid timing?

Neither shows a raid calendar. The free Lore Forever add-on, fan-made and not affiliated with Blizzard, has no internet access and narrates with generated voices; it covers the story of the zones and dungeons you pass while leveling. Willo is a separate companion app for Windows 10 or 11 and Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 12 or later), per her page; her FAQ and the Lore Forever FAQ say Windows and Mac, though CurseForge still calls her a Windows app. You can ask her out loud what to do next while you play, free to start with 50 answers a day. She can be wrong; Blizzard's pages are the source of truth for dates.
