WoW Forever Launch Time Asia: Japan, Korea, China, India

World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever) launched in Asia on the morning of Thursday, November 5, 2026: 8:00 a.m. in Japan and South Korea, 7:00 a.m. in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Philippines, and 4:30 a.m. in India. It was one global moment, 3:00 p.m. PST on November 4, which is 23:00 UTC. As of November 5, 2026, this page answers "wow forever launch time Asia" in the past tense.

Quick answer: Add your offset to 23:00 UTC. Blizzard's own table names only two Asian places, Taiwan (7:00 a.m.) and Korea (8:00 a.m.). Every other country below is my conversion, and Blizzard's pages I read do not say whether the game is available in mainland China.

WoW Forever launch time in Asia on November 5, 2026: 4:30 a.m. India, 6:00 a.m. Thailand and Indonesia (Jakarta), 7:00 a.m. China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Philippines, 8:00 a.m. Japan and Korea; Blizzard names only Taiwan and Korea.
Launch times in Asia from 23:00 UTC; only Taiwan and Korea appear in Blizzard's table.

Key facts

  • Global launch: November 4, 2026, 3:00 p.m. PST, 23:00 UTC (Blizzard)
  • In Blizzard's table: Taiwan 7:00 a.m., Korea 8:00 a.m., both November 5, as shown on Blizzard's Korean, German and French pages
  • Daylight saving: none in these countries on that date, per the time zone database (version 2026f)
  • Maintenance: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PST on November 4 (Blizzard Support), which ended at the launch moment

What time did WoW Forever launch in Japan and Korea?

At 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5. Blizzard's Korean launch page lists Korea (KST) at 8:00 a.m. on November 5. Japan is also UTC+9, so Tokyo and Osaka read 8:00 a.m. by the same sum: 23:00 plus 9 hours is 32:00. Blizzard's table does not list Japan; that reading is my conversion.

What time did it launch in China, Taiwan, Singapore and the Philippines?

At 7:00 a.m. These places are UTC+8. Blizzard's table lists "Taiwan (CST)" at 7:00 a.m.; there CST means a UTC+8 clock, not US Central time, as the 7:00 a.m. reading shows (my inference from the table). China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines use the same offset, so 23:00 plus 8 hours is 7:00 a.m. Blizzard names none of them, and I found no Blizzard page that says whether the game launched in mainland China, so treat that as unconfirmed.

What time did it launch in India and Southeast Asia?

India (UTC+5:30) was 4:30 a.m. Thailand, Vietnam and western Indonesia (Jakarta, UTC+7) were 6:00 a.m. All are conversions from 23:00 UTC. Compare the 14-zone list in launch time by time zone.

What did the launch moment look like in Asia?

Blizzard did not publish queue numbers. Blizzard Watch reported on November 4 that the servers came up "a tiny bit later than scheduled", with a login queue and intermittent lag, and called the launch relatively smooth. TimeSaver, a seller site compiling player reports, says players saw a "Login Servers are Full" screen from about 23:02 UTC, with positions from roughly 660 to 2,000, and rulesets marked temporarily unavailable for a few minutes. That is about 8:02 a.m. in Tokyo and Seoul, 7:02 a.m. in Beijing and 4:32 a.m. in Delhi (my conversion). Those are player reports, not Blizzard figures. See launch day queues and errors.

Which realm or region do Asian players join?

Blizzard describes WoW Forever as "realmless": you choose a ruleset, not a realm, and character names are unique "within a region". The pages I read do not say which region an Asian account is placed in. Read realms and regions and mega realms, and how to download.

What is not confirmed

  • Availability in mainland China, and any region-specific rules, queues or prices for Japan, India or Southeast Asia.
  • Which region an Asian account joins.
  • The Blizzard post under article number 24315820 carried the table before launch and now carries the title "Now Live!" without one; I could not confirm which version Blizzard keeps.

How can the Lore Forever add-on and Willo help?

The free Lore Forever add-on adds readable and recorded stories for zones, cities and dungeons. It has no internet access, and its narrators are generated voices. Willo is a separate companion app for Windows 10 or 11; her page also lists an Apple Silicon Mac download (macOS 12 or later), and her FAQ now says Windows and Mac, though CurseForge still calls her a Windows app. She is free to start with 50 answers a day. Both are fan-made, not affiliated with Blizzard, and Willo can be wrong.
