Is There a Level Boost in WoW Forever? What Developers Said

No level boost is offered in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever) as of November 5, 2026, and developers said in a BlizzCon interview that there are currently no plans for paid character boosts or a WoW Token. Blizzard's pre-purchase post lists three upgrade packs and none includes a boost, and Blizzard describes the journey as level 1 to 60.

Quick answer: You cannot buy a boost to level 60 in WoW Forever. The reports come from a developer interview, not a Blizzard announcement, and "no plans" can change. Blizzard describes the journey as level 1 to 60 with more than 1,000 new quests.

What WoW Forever offers instead of a level boost: no boost or WoW Token planned per developers at BlizzCon, the three upgrade packs contain no boost, the journey runs from level 1 to 60 with more than 1,000 new quests, and Blizzard's Starter Guide tips include asking for help.
What is and is not on offer, from Blizzard's pre-purchase post and launch post and reports of the BlizzCon interview, as of November 5, 2026.

The road is the product, and the toll is time.

Key facts

  • Boost or Token: "no plans" per developers Clay Stone and Nora Mills in a BlizzCon interview (as reported by Warcraft Tavern; HostedGG also names Stone)
  • Upgrade packs: Heroic, Epic and Collection list a race, mount, cosmetics, Game Time and codes, no boost (Blizzard)
  • Journey: level 1 to 60, more than 1,000 new quests (Blizzard launch post)
  • Dungeons: nine new five-player dungeons from level 13 through 60 (Blizzard launch post)
  • Caveat: the "no plans" wording is from an interview, not a Blizzard post

Is there a level boost in WoW Forever?

Not that I found. Warcraft Tavern reported that Stone and Mills, of the WoW Classic team, said in a BlizzCon interview with YouTuber Destin that there are currently no plans for WoW Tokens or character boosts. Warcraft Tavern itself adds that this may change depending on rollout, reception and longevity. Stone's reasoning, per Warcraft Tavern, is that the journey is the game and that you get better at the game by playing it. HostedGG reports the same "no plans" statement. I found no Blizzard page, shop listing or Support article offering a boost for Forever. See token and boosts.

Do any of the packs include a boost?

No. Blizzard's pre-purchase post lists the Heroic Pack (the Skyborne race and Zephras Isle, Early Name Reservation, a mount, cosmetics, one Invite-A-Friend code), the Epic Pack (adding beta access, 30 days of Game Time and more codes) and the Warcraft Forever Collection (adding Warcraft III: Reforged and the Forsaken Kingdom campaign). Boosts are not listed. Compare them in which edition to buy.

What does the journey look like instead?

Blizzard's launch post says the adventure runs to level 60, across more than 1,000 new quests in new and reimagined zones, plus nine new five-player dungeons for levels 13 through 60. It does not describe any shortcut. How dungeon experience works at launch is not something I verified. For the road itself, see the leveling guide and how to make gold.

Can a friend who joins late catch up?

Not with a shortcut I could find. Blizzard says groups, dungeons and raids work only with players on the same ruleset and faction, so a late friend levels their own character on the same ruleset. Blizzard's Starter Guide suggests asking for help when a quest feels difficult. See how to play with friends.

What is not confirmed yet

  • Whether Blizzard will ever add a boost; "no plans" is not a promise.
  • Any written Blizzard statement; the quotes are second-hand reports of an interview.
  • How dungeon experience works at launch; I did not verify it.
  • Whether third-party boost services are allowed; I did not open a Blizzard policy page on this, so I make no claim.

How can the Lore Forever add-on and Willo help with this?

If the road is the point, the Lore Forever add-on is a free, fan-made add-on, not affiliated with Blizzard, with no internet access, that gives quests and NPCs short stories as you walk. Willo is a separate companion app for Windows 10 or 11; her page also lists an Apple Silicon Mac download (macOS 12 or later) and her FAQ now says Windows and Mac, though CurseForge still describes her as a Windows app. She is free to start with 50 answers a day and can help you plan a leveling evening, but she cannot level for you, can be wrong, and is not official.
