Titan

The titans are cosmic giants forged from primordial matter and arcane magic, embodying the forces of order and creation. In their journeys across the Great Dark Beyond, they sought out slumbering worlds to cultivate, raising up continents, calming chaotic elemental forces, and designing life. To enforce balance, they established powerful constructs made of stone, iron, and sea to watch over their works.

Long ago, the Pantheon of titans discovered Azeroth in the grip of the chaotic elemental lords and the horrific Old Gods. The titans waged war against these parasitic horrors, banishing the elementals to pocket planes and sealing the monstrous Old Gods deep beneath the crust of the earth. Upon securing the world, they carved great biomes, established vault complexes like Uldaman, and entrusted five great dragons—the Dragon Aspects—with stewardship of the land, magic, time, and life itself before journeying back among the stars.

Not all titans remained aligned with the Pantheon's vision of perfect order. Sargeras, once the greatest warrior and defender of the titans, grew despondent and terrified by the deep cosmic darkness and demonic malevolence he was charged with combating. Rejecting the work of his kin, Sargeras turned to nihilism, founding the demonic Burning Legion to extinguish all creation rather than allow it to be corrupted.
