Emerald Dream

Existing outside the physical plane yet tethered to its heartbeat, the Emerald Dream reflects what Azeroth would look like had intelligent beings never cleared its forests or built cities upon its stone. Sculpted during the ancient ordering of the world, it is an ever-shifting wilderness of pristine forests, boundless plains, and primordial rivers. Time and distance hold little meaning within the Dream; days in the physical world can feel like decades in the spirit, and landmarks change shape like mist before mortal eyes.

Following the ordering of the world, the titans entrusted this verdant plane to Ysera the Dreamer, the great Aspect of the green dragonflight. Charged with guiding the evolution and natural rhythm of Azeroth, Ysera dwells in an unending trance, gazing through enchanted dreamsight that perceives both the waking world and its mirrored spirit plane. The green dragons guard the rare, natural portals linking the physical plane to the Dream, maintaining eternal vigilance over the boundary between sleep and waking.

To mortal druids, the Emerald Dream is the wellspring of their craft. By channeling nature magic, druids can project their spirits into the Dream, leaving their corporeal bodies resting safely in barrow dens for years or even centuries. In this untamed realm, they commune with ancient nature spirits and the Wild Gods, gaining profound insight into the Great Cycle of life and death. Skilled walkers of the Dream learn to transcend physical laws while in their dreamforms, traversing vast distances or slipping through solid barriers at will.
