The Loch

The Loch is the vast freshwater lake that dominates the valley of Loch Modan. Held back by the monumental Stonewrought Dam, it is the largest body of water on Khaz Modan and the lifeblood of the surrounding dwarven settlements.

Spanning the center of Loch Modan, The Loch is among the largest inland lakes in the known world, rivaled only by Lordamere Lake and Darrowmere Lake in the north. Its waters support local fishermen and provide a peaceful backdrop for the town of Thelsamar and nearby hunting lodges. Beneath its calm surface, however, prowl aggressive threshadons and freshwater beasts that make swimming across a perilous venture.
