South Gate Outpost

South Gate Outpost is a fortified dwarven mountain post situated along the South Gate Pass between Dun Morogh and Loch Modan. Manning the snowy southern road, its mountaineers guard the steady flow of travelers walking between Ironforge's frigid heights and the temperate valley of the Loch.

Perched midway through the high mountain cut of South Gate Pass, South Gate Outpost marks the frontier between the snowy slopes of Dun Morogh and the verdant basin of Loch Modan. Stationed here are Ironforge mountaineers tasked with patrolling the rocky switchbacks and keeping dangerous wildlife off the main highway. Compared to their hard-pressed kin up at North Gate Outpost, the defenders here have largely secured their stretch of road, allowing travelers, pilgrims, and trade wagons headed toward Thelsamar to journey in relative safety.
