South Gate Pass is the primary mountain thoroughfare linking the snowy heights of Dun Morogh with the valley basin of Loch Modan. Flanked by dwarven tunnels and watch posts, it serves as the most direct route between Ironforge and the settlement of Thelsamar.

Carved straight through the Khaz Modan range, South Gate Pass connects Dun Morogh's high mountains to the rolling valley of Loch Modan to the east. Travelers leaving the cold slopes behind emerge through stone archways into the warmer dwarven heartlands. Because the path leads straight toward Thelsamar, it carries a steady flow of mountaineers, couriers, and newly trained adventurers setting out from the capital.
