Raynewood Retreat

Raynewood Retreat is an ancient night elf outpost perched around a massive great tree in north-central Ashenvale. Guarded by dryads and Cenarion protectors, it serves as a watchful sanctuary monitoring the northern passes toward corrupted Felwood. It is also the sanctuary of Keeper Ordanus, an elder son of Cenarius targeted by sinister outside forces.

Long before the modern conflicts between the Alliance and Horde, Raynewood Retreat served as a military staging ground for night elf defenders during the ancient War of the Satyr millennia ago. Today, the encampment retains its sacred martial purpose. Nestled between Shael'dryn's moonwell and the satyr-infested ruins of Night Run, the outpost is fiercely guarded by Cenarion Protectors, faerie dragons, and Laughing Sisters. Their collective vigilance keeps a wary eye on the encroaching taint descending from Felwood just to the north.
