Iris Lake

Iris Lake is a blighted body of water resting in north-central Ashenvale, east of Astranaar. Once pristine, its waters have turned a sickly yellowish-green from demonic corruption seeping down from Felwood, and hostile bog beasts now prowl its shores.

Nestled between Astranaar and the moonwell tended by Shael'dryn, Iris Lake stands as a grim reminder of the wounds inflicted during the Third War. Fel energies drifting south from the tainted heights of Felwood have poisoned the basin, turning its once-clear waters into a foul, sickly yellow-green mire. The corruption has twisted the native plant life and water spirits, raising aggressive bog beasts that lash out at any traveler who wanders near.
