Elune

Elune is one of the few true deities acknowledged across Azeroth, bound inseparably to the night sky and the larger of the world's two moons, the White Lady. While never appearing in a physical form on the world, night elven artisans portray her as a kaldorei of transcendent grace, bathed in luminescence with alabaster skin, silver hair, and eyes of pure moonlight. Ancient legends among the kaldorei claim she once rested in the depths of the Well of Eternity during the daylight hours, whispering wisdom to the early night elves.

Night elven spiritual and civil life is anchored in devotion to Elune through the Sisterhood of Elune, an ancient matriarchal priesthood led by High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind. The Sisters invoke Elune's grace to mend lethal wounds, but they can also channel her radiant wrath to call down searing starlight upon their enemies. Her divine union with the Great White Stag, Malorne, produced Cenarius, binding Elune's heavenly mysteries directly to the druidic traditions that tend the wildlands of Kalimdor.

Though renowned for peace, harmony, and tranquil restoration, Elune is not a gentle pacifist. As the Night Warrior, she acts as a fierce patron of battle who gathers the spirits of fallen heroes from the field and places them in the heavens to ride across the night as stars. Beyond the kaldorei, the nomadic tauren know her as Mu'sha, the radiant left eye of the Earth Mother, who illuminates the night and guides wandering hunters alongside her fiery twin brother, An'she the sun.
