Asterion

Asterion is an ancient Highborne spirit bound to the ruins of Bashal'Aran in Darkshore. Once the trusted second to governor Athrikus Narassin ten millennia ago, he was mysteriously imprisoned in a magical moonstone seal that held him through mortal life and into the afterlife. Today, his specter remains shackled to the ruined shrine, surrounded by demonic beasts and dreaming of liberation.

Before the Great Sundering shattered ancient Kalimdor, Bashal'Aran and Ameth'Aran were sister cities blessed by Queen Azshara herself. Azshara appointed Athrikus Narassin to govern the twin settlements, and Asterion served as his right hand. Respected for both his physical combat prowess and his command of arcane sorcery, Asterion lived among the people of Bashal'Aran while frequently traveling between the sister cities to manage the needs of their citizens.
