WoW Forever Wetlands Guide: Menethil Harbor, Dun Modr, Quests and the New Dungeon
Wetlands is the Alliance marsh and port zone north of Loch Modan in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever), where characters of roughly levels 20 to 30 work out of Menethil Harbor. Warcraft Wiki says the original zone remains in Forever, and Forever adds a dungeon to it, Excavation Site: Wetlands, which Warcraft Tavern lists at levels 26 to 31.
Quick answer: Menethil Harbor is the base. Boats leave it for Theramore Isle and Auberdine, a flight path reaches Ironforge, and quests from Captain Stoutfist, Rethiel the Greenwarden, First Mate Fitzsimmons and Rhag Garmason fill the zone. Loch Modan lies south, Arathi Highlands north.

Warcraft Wiki says Menethil Harbor was named in honor of Terenas Menethil II and stands on an island in Baradin Bay.

How do you reach Wetlands?
Warcraft Wiki lists boats from Menethil Harbor to Theramore Isle and to Auberdine in Darkshore, and an Alliance flight path to Ironforge. Read the Ironforge guide, the Theramore Isle guide and the travel guide for the routes.
What is the story of Wetlands?
Warcraft Wiki says Orgrim Doomhammer built his invasion fleet on a small island in Baradin Bay and left the Bleeding Hollow clan to guard the Horde's refinement work, while wildlife grew scarce and plants suffered under the occupation. The Alliance retook the area and rebuilt Doomhammer's port as Menethil Harbor. The Dragonmaw clan established itself in Grim Batol. After the Battle of Grim Batol the red dragonflight attacked them, and part of the clan stayed in Wetlands under chief Gorfax Angerfang. Read the Dragonmaw clan story and the Terenas Menethil story.
The wiki says Ironforge dwarves built the Thandol Span after the War of the Three Hammers, and Dark Iron dwarves under Balgaras the Foul laid waste to it. Southern Dun Modr fell soon after. The free Lore Forever add-on adds readable background as you stand in each place, and the optional Willo Windows companion answers lore questions by voice.
What is different about Wetlands in WoW Forever?
Two things, both from Warcraft Tavern's beta notes. Excavation Site: Wetlands is a new dungeon for levels 26 to 31, and Wetlands received increased respawn rates. Warcraft Wiki's Classic page lists no instanced dungeon for the zone, only the Dragonmaw Gates and Dun Modr micro dungeons.
