Theramore Isle Explained: Jaina's Island City, Daelin Proudmoore and Dustwallow Marsh
Theramore Isle is Jaina Proudmoore's island city off the eastern shore of Dustwallow Marsh, which Warcraft Wiki says survivors of her expedition built after the Battle of Mount Hyjal. In World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever), no source I opened describes Theramore's own quests, vendors or flight paths, though Dustwallow Marsh around it holds Alcaz Prison and Onyxia's Lair.
Quick answer: Warcraft Wiki says survivors of Jaina's expedition raised Theramore's island citadel to safeguard what was left of the Alliance, and that her father Daelin Proudmoore took the isle as a base and died there. The king of Stormwind, Varian Wrynn, was traveling to Theramore when the Defias abducted him. For play, Forever sources confirm a dungeon and a raid in Dustwallow Marsh, not the town.

Warcraft Wiki describes Theramore as a city on a rocky island east of Dustwallow Marsh, ruled by Jaina and tied to the fate of Stormwind's king. Players still search for it by name.

Who founded Theramore Isle?
The city was founded in the aftermath of a war. Warcraft Wiki says Jaina Proudmoore's expedition settled the Dustwallow coast after the Burning Legion's defeat at Mount Hyjal and its survivors erected the island citadel of Theramore to safeguard the remnants of the Alliance. Its Human Expedition page says most of the expedition settled on Theramore Isle in Dustwallow Marsh under Jaina and that Halford Wyrmbane and Torq Ironblast were secondary leaders. Only Warcraft Wiki describes the founding; Engadget's 2010 Know Your Lore only places Jaina in Theramore after the Third War, so treat the details as one source's account. The Jaina Proudmoore story and Third War explained give the wider history.
What happened to Daelin Proudmoore at Theramore?
Jaina's father arrived with a fleet. Warcraft Wiki says Daelin Proudmoore led it to Kalimdor to search for his daughter and other survivors, and that after the orcs' allies beat him back he took control of Theramore, used it as a staging ground against the orcs behind a naval blockade, and was slain at his keep in the battle with Rexxar's party. WoWWiki agrees that he withdrew to the island citadel, took control of it and blockaded it, and adds that Jaina sided against him and helped Rexxar destroy the ships. Engadget's 2010 Know Your Lore also says the half-orc Rexxar killed him. Read Kul Tiras and Tiragarde Keep explained for his homeland.
Who rules Theramore and what happened to Varian?
Warcraft Wiki lists Lady Jaina Proudmoore as the ruler of Theramore. Its Varian Wrynn page says Varian journeyed to Theramore to speak with Jaina about Horde and Alliance relations and was abducted by the Defias on the way. See the Varian Wrynn story and Stormwind history.
Where is Theramore and what is nearby?
Warcraft Wiki's Dustwallow Marsh page says Theramore "was located on a small island east off shore" and lists Onyxia's Lair and Alcaz Island among the marsh's notable places. No Forever source I opened describes roads, boats or flight paths to Theramore, so check the in-game map.
What does WoW Forever add to Dustwallow Marsh?
Warcraft Tavern's October 20 posts name two Forever features in the zone. Alcaz Prison is a level 48 to 53 dungeon on Alcaz Island, where the Defias and naga are in conflict, and Onyxia's Lair is the 40-player raid deep in the marsh. See the Alcaz Prison guide, the raids guide and Onyxia explained. The free Lore Forever add-on adds readable background as you stand in each place, and the optional Willo Windows companion answers lore questions by voice.
