Warlock Leveling Guide in WoW Forever: Affliction Leads
Five sources name Affliction for leveling a Warlock in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever): Warcraft Tavern calls it "the recommended leveling build," Method says "We recommend leveling as Affliction," and NoobToBoss, SeeMeta and Gamer Guides list it too. All were written for a beta capped at level 30.
Quick answer: Send your demon in, pull with Bane of Agony, add Corruption and wand the target down before level 30 (Tavern's Affliction rotation); Tavern adds Life Tap when you have far more health than mana. You unlock the Voidwalker at level 10 with a class quest. Launch is November 4, 2026 with a level 60 cap (Blizzard), and Warlock builds for levels 31 to 60 are not published yet.

Which spec should a Warlock level in WoW Forever?
Affliction. Tavern says "Affliction has the smoothest route early on," because instant damage-over-time spells keep ticking while you move. Method says all three specs are completely viable. NoobToBoss calls the Warlock "the best self-sustaining solo caster" and names Affliction, and Gamer Guides says damage-over-time spells can now critically strike.
Destruction is, in Tavern's words, "the hardest spec for solo leveling," yet it shines in dungeons. Demonology puts the demon in front, and Tavern lists Demonic Brand at level 25 while Method says level 29. Tavern's Shadowburn and Conflagrate levels (20 and 25) also run four levels earlier than Method's (24 and 29); Tavern says it lists talents at the earliest level reachable without the Legacy "Talented" effect, and no source I opened explains the gap. Which demon should a Warlock use at each level?
Both guides list the Imp as a level 1 class quest; Method says to "keep it out at all times for the damage." The Voidwalker arrives at level 10 by class quest; Method says Horde players should take the Undead quest in Undercity, since the Orgrimmar version leads into the dangerous Skull Rock cave, and Tavern's notes say the same. Tavern calls the Voidwalker the safest choice against several or hard-hitting enemies. Tavern lists the Succubus or Incubus quests at level 20 and the Felhunter's at 30; at 30 it has you train Drain Life rank 3 and respec to drain-tank with the Succubus or Incubus. Both guides list Corruption at level 4, Life Tap at 6, Bane of Agony at 8, Drain Life at 14, Create Soulstone at 18 and Ritual of Summoning at 20. See Warlock demons.
How do the wand, Life Tap and Drain Life work together?
Tavern's rule: "If you have a lot more health than mana, cast Life Tap," and with more mana than health, cast Drain Life. Before level 30, Tavern says, the wand out-damages Drain Life. Method says to get a wand as early as possible to save mana. Tavern lists a Lesser Magic Wand at level 5 (11.3 damage per second), a Greater Magic Wand at 13 (17.5) and the Gravestone Scepter from a Blackfathom Deeps quest, startable at 18 (29). It says to make a Healthstone as soon as you can.
What does a Warlock do in a first dungeon?
Tavern says Destruction excels, with Conflagrate and Shadowburn bursting priority targets, and suggests the Imp for Blood Pact or the Succubus or Incubus for damage. It adds to hand out Healthstones, use Curse of the Elements on long fights, and keep spare shards for Ritual of Summoning. Read dungeon groups.

Method recommends Tailoring and Enchanting; Tavern adds First Aid, since bandaged health can be Life Tapped into mana. Method grades Human S, Orc A, Gnome and Undead B, Troll C; see best race for Warlock.
