Sunnyglade in WoW Forever: Location, Lore and Quests

Sunnyglade is a ruined human town in the middle of the Riverglades, a mid-level zone that exists only in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever), where Warcraft Wiki says the Twilight's Hammer occupies the remains of a Stormwind town the Old Horde sacked in the First War. Its mage tower still stands. No source I opened lists quests that begin there.

Quick answer: Sunnyglade sits in central Riverglades, a zone Warcraft Wiki lists at levels 35 to 45 and Wowhead at 36 to 44. Farholde Keep's Brotherhood of the Horse still fight to retake their lands. Quests and a level range for Sunnyglade itself are unconfirmed as of November 2, 2026; Wowhead lists one NPC, Clubtoe, that a commenter places there.

Sunnyglade timeline: the Old Horde sacks the town in the First War, knights rescue the captives and found Meadowsbrook and Farholde, Twilight's Hammer arrives in the Second War, a battle at the ruins precedes the Siege of Farholde, and by year 25 the ruins are held by the Twilight's Hammer with the mage tower standing.
Sunnyglade from the First War to year 25 after the Dark Portal, per Warcraft Wiki and the in-game book, as of November 2, 2026.

What is Sunnyglade in WoW Forever?

Sunnyglade is a Forever-only subzone, a town in the Riverglades that Warcraft Wiki says was a territory of the Kingdom of Stormwind during the First War. It first appeared in Warcraft: Orcs & Humans as a campaign mission; Forever moves it to the Riverglades. Wowhead's September 18 summary of a Sportskeeda interview with Blizzard developers also notes that the Riverglades has references to Warcraft I, including a ruined town called Sunnyglade. For the cult that holds it, see the Twilight's Hammer; for the zone, the Riverglades guide.

Where is Sunnyglade and what level is it?

Warcraft Wiki places Sunnyglade in central Riverglades. The Riverglades lie east of the Badlands and Burning Steppes; its neighbors are Redridge Mountains, Swamp of Sorrows, Badlands, Burning Steppes and, across the sea by boat from Powderfuse Port, Tanaris. Blizzard calls the zone mid-level and roughly the size of Stranglethorn Vale. Warcraft Wiki lists levels 35 to 45 and a level 40 to 45 dungeon, Krol'dok Stronghold; Wowhead lists 36 to 44; Exputer (October 28) says roughly 35 to 45. No source I opened gives a level for Sunnyglade itself.

What happened at Sunnyglade?

According to Warcraft Wiki and an in-game book, A Wartorn Land and The Brotherhood, the Old Horde overwhelmed the town in the First War, spared its mage tower, and enslaved the survivors. A few families escaped northeast and founded Windstead. A detachment of knights rescued the captives but could not get home; they founded Meadowsbrook and then Farholde. Later, Twilight's Hammer ogres and Stormreaver orcs fled to the region, and Horde forces overran the Brotherhood's small force at the ruins before the Siege of Farholde. Roderick the Unbroken held a bridge there and survived, losing an arm.

Which quests and NPCs are at Sunnyglade?

No quest is confirmed. Wowhead's Riverglades page listed one quest for the whole zone on November 2, and Warcraft Wiki's Riverglades quest category held a single entry, which does not mention Sunnyglade. Blizzard says the zone holds nearly 200 quests, and Warcraft Tavern reports developers saying over 150. The beta ended at level 30, so none of this was testable; Warcraft Tavern says no level 31 to 60 content was accessible before launch.

One NPC is tied to the town. Wowhead's Clubtoe entry (added in patch 1.60.1, no level or quest shown) carries a September 28 user comment saying he stands in a house basement in Sunnyglade at 50.0, 47.0. That is a single unverified comment. Roderick the Unbroken, who held the bridge, has a memorial rather than a quest in the sources I opened.

What do the sources disagree on?

  • Zone levels: 35 to 45 (Warcraft Wiki, Exputer) against 36 to 44 (Wowhead).
  • Quest count: nearly 200 (Blizzard) against over 150 (Warcraft Tavern, Exputer).
  • Rebuilding: Warcraft Wiki notes that Forever keeps the town in ruins, with the humans never making it back, unlike Warcraft I. The add-on's project data (checkout dated October 22) says Stormwind tried to rebuild before withdrawing, which differs from the wiki.

What is not confirmed yet

  • Quests that start or end in Sunnyglade, and the level of Clubtoe or any other NPC there.
  • Whether the level ranges hold at launch on November 4, 2026.
  • Spoilers: nothing here covers a quest ending, because no quest is sourced.

How can the Lore Forever add-on and Willo help with this?

The free Lore Forever add-on covers quests and NPCs up to level 30, so Riverglades quests fall outside it. Its project data holds place lore for the Riverglades and Sunnyglade, drawn from the wiki, with no section marked as a spoiler. Willo can keep a Pin on your journey map for a place such as Sunnyglade and a notebook of to-dos. Both are fan-made and not affiliated with Blizzard, and Willo can be wrong.
