How Much Does WoW Forever Cost? Subscription and Skyborne Pack Prices
World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever) has no separate box price: as of October 27, 2026, access is included with a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time. The only extra money is optional, in the three pre-purchase packs, which Warcraft Tavern lists at $29.99, $59.99 and $79.99.
Quick answer: You pay for your normal World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time and nothing more to walk the old roads. You pay for a pack only if you want the new Skyborne race (Heroic Pack, $29.99 or higher), beta access, or the extras in the Epic Pack and Warcraft Forever Collection. Forever launches November 4, 2026.
Every road in Azeroth begins with a count of what is in the purse. The good news for a traveler is short: the gate is the same one you already pay for, and the rest is cloth, mounts and a new people to play.

Do you need to buy WoW Forever?
Not in the usual sense, and that is the word of the studio itself. Blizzard's launch announcement says access will be included with your World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time, and Final Boss's review (updated October 17, 2026) says there is no box price. Mein-MMO makes the same point: you also need the regular subscription, and you do not buy WoW: Forever separately.
If you are already subscribed, you have the gate. For the wider requirements, read what you need to play.
How much do the Skyborne packs cost?
The packs are the one place a price tag appears. According to Warcraft Tavern's editions article (published September 12, 2026), the Skyborne Heroic Pack costs $29.99, the Skyborne Epic Pack $59.99 and the Warcraft Forever Collection $79.99. Final Boss gives the same $29.99 and $59.99 for the first two, and Mein-MMO puts the three at nearly €30, €60 and €80.
Blizzard's own announcement lists what each contains but states no prices, so treat the figures as press-reported and confirm them on the Battle.net Shop. The full contents of each pack are in the editions guide.
Is the Skyborne race free?
No. Warcraft Tavern says Skyborne is paid content and that you need one of the three packs to play it; its product table says access requires the Skyborne Heroic Pack or a higher edition. Blizzard lists the Skyborne race and its Zephras Isle starting experience as part of the Heroic Pack. For the race itself, read how to unlock Skyborne and the Zephras Isle guide.
What does the Epic Pack add beyond the Heroic Pack?
The Epic Pack is the one with a clock attached. Blizzard says it adds beta access, 30 days of Game Time starting November 4, more cosmetics, pets and tabards, and three Invite-A-Friend launch codes in total. Warcraft Tavern's table says the beta ran from September 17 to October 21, 2026, so beta access is now a past benefit.
The Warcraft Forever Collection, according to Blizzard, adds Warcraft III: Reforged, the Forsaken Kingdom campaign and Forsaken and Human figurine housing decor on top of the Epic Pack. Warcraft Tavern says it is available until January 11, 2027.
When can you reserve a name?
Early Name Reservation is included with the Skyborne Heroic Pack and the packs above it, per Blizzard. Warcraft Tavern's article lists the window as October 27 to November 3, 2026, ahead of the November 4 launch. See the name reservation guide and the launch time guide.
What is not confirmed yet
- None of the sources opened state the monthly price of a World of Warcraft subscription, so this article gives none.
- Blizzard's launch page shows no prices for the packs; the dollar figures come from Warcraft Tavern, Final Boss and Mein-MMO.
- Blizzard's page names the launch time as PST in one place and PDT in another. November 4 falls after the clocks change, so Pacific Standard Time is the likelier reading, but Blizzard has not clarified.
- The page lists a physical Collector's Edition through the Blizzard Gear Store but gives no price in the sources opened.
