WoW Forever Ruins of Lordaeron Quests and Prerequisites
The Ruins of Lordaeron dungeon in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever) has 10 quests, 6 for the Horde and 4 for the Alliance, and as of November 6, 2026 two Horde quests, The Wrath of Rath'mael and The New Plague, need a prerequisite chain on live servers that they did not need in the beta.
Quick answer: Horde: finish the level 13 Rear Guard Patrol chain in Tirisfal Glades to unlock The Wrath of Rath'mael, and finish the A Recipe For Death chain to unlock The New Plague (Wowhead and Warcraft Tavern put it in Silverpine Forest). Alliance: no prerequisites; every Alliance quest starts inside the dungeon.

What are the Ruins of Lordaeron quests?
Wowhead and Icy Veins agree on the names. Horde: Light's Justice, The New Plague, The Wrath of Rath'mael, A Frightened Request, Unending Torment and Crest of Lordaeron. Alliance: Abominable Creatures, Bloodied Insignia, Remember That I Love You and Crest of Lordaeron, which is a separate quest for each faction.
Warcraft Tavern describes the tasks: Light's Justice wants 25 Intact Limbs, The New Plague a Highly Toxic Strain from Witherfang, and The Wrath of Rath'mael is a kill on the final boss.
What are the new prerequisites?
Wowhead's news post says two Horde quests now have a prerequisite chain on live servers and were available right away on the beta. The Wrath of Rath'mael no longer comes straight from Deathguard Kristof. You first complete a level 13 chain that begins with Rear Guard Patrol from Deathguard Linnea in Tirisfal Glades: defeat 8 Bleeding Horror and Wandering Spirit, then the level 13 elite Riptear. Wowhead's chart says The New Plague now starts from A Recipe For Death in Silverpine Forest.
Warcraft Tavern's quest page lists both chains too: Linnea's Rear Guard Patrol quests for Wrath, and A Recipe For Death, starting with Apothecary Renferrel at the Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest, for The New Plague. After the chain, it says, The New Plague comes from Theodore Griffs in Undercity. Method's guide, updated November 6, lists the same two starting quests but puts A Recipe For Death in Tirisfal Glades, which conflicts. Icy Veins' page, last updated September 30, shows no prerequisites.
Which quests can the Alliance do?
Wowhead says Alliance players have no prerequisites. Warcraft Tavern and Method say all four Alliance quests start inside the dungeon, from Captain Truman near the entrance or from items found there. Blizzard says Alliance groups must venture into Horde territory.
What levels are the quests and rewards?
Sources disagree. Wowhead's news chart lists the quests at levels 14 to 16, Icy Veins and Warcraft Tavern at levels 15 or 16, Method at level 16 for all and Wowhead's Dungeon Journal at levels 21 and 22. Dungeon ranges also differ: Blizzard and Wowhead say 15 to 20, Method and Warcraft Tavern 15 to 22.
