WoW Forever PvP Ranks, Honor and Rank Points Explained
World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever) PvP progression has two parts, Honor and Rank Points: Honor is a currency you spend on PvP gear, Rank Points raise your rank toward High Warlord (Horde) or Grand Marshal (Alliance), and ranks have a weekly cap. Blizzard's October 7 post lists rewards for Ranks 1 to 14; Icy Veins and Wowhead add point totals and caps, partly from datamining, as of November 6, 2026.
Quick answer: Earn both currencies in battlegrounds and PvP quests. Open the Character pane (C) and the Player vs. Player tab to see your rank and rewards. Rank 14 needs 24,750 Rank Points in total and, per Icy Veins' datamined cap, cannot be reached before week 10 of a season.

How do Honor and Rank Points work in WoW Forever?
Blizzard's post says Honor comes from defeating players, completing battlegrounds and finishing relevant PvP quests, with extra Honor in holiday-week battlegrounds. Rank Points come from battlegrounds and relevant PvP quests, with a holiday-week boost. Icy Veins (September 19, partly datamined) says ranks work like an ever-growing bar with no weekly decay, unlike the original game's ladder, and that Rank Points reset between seasons. Blizzard's post states neither.
What do the 14 ranks unlock?
Per Blizzard: Rank 1 a tabard, 2 a PvP trinket, 3 cloaks, 4 a necklace, 5 combat potions, 6 a tabard, 7 a battle standard, 8 epic bracers or belt upgrade token, 9 boots token, 10 gloves token, 11 mounts, 12 legs or shoulders token, 13 chest or helm token, 14 epic weapons. Icy Veins and Wowhead agree on the pattern, and Wowhead says rare-quality honor gear needs no rank. Icy Veins' totals run from 750 Rank Points for Rank 1 to 24,750 for Rank 14.
How long does it take to reach Rank 14?
Blizzard says only that ranks have a weekly cap, "retaining the foundation of the original system." Icy Veins' datamined maximum rank by season week is 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, then 14 from week 10, a ten-week minimum if the cap holds at launch. Wowhead (October 24) expects resets every few months; Blizzard's post gives no season length.
What gear does Honor buy, and do ranks give Legacy Points?
Blizzard says Honor buys two sets; Icy Veins lists beta Honor costs from 750 to 15,000, some also needing Marks of Honor, subject to change. See PvP vendors and rewards. Blizzard says three seasonal journey tasks grant a Legacy Point; see the Legacy System.

- Rank Points per battleground or quest: Icy Veins says exact values were not available
- Weekly cap numbers and decay: datamined or stated by Icy Veins only; Blizzard's post is silent

- Arenas: Wowhead says Forever has no rated arena or battlegrounds
