WoW Forever Felwood Guide: Levels 48 to 55, Emerald Sanctuary, Talonbranch Glade and Timbermaw Hold

Felwood is a corrupted forest north of Ashenvale and east of Darkshore in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever), listed at levels 48 to 55 by Warcraft Wiki, where both factions cleanse tainted land from Emerald Sanctuary and pass through Timbermaw Hold to Moonglade and Winterspring. The zone has no dungeon, and Forever Codex, a community database that reads the beta client, says the game files show no changes to its map, areas, flight paths or dungeons.

Quick answer: Fly to Talonbranch Glade (Alliance) or Bloodvenom Post (Horde), then make Emerald Sanctuary your base; Warcraft Wiki lists it as a flight point for both factions, though Forever Codex counts only two flight masters in the zone.

Felwood route from the Ashenvale road to Timbermaw Hold
Route in order: take the north road from Astranaar or Splintertree Post in Ashenvale, use Talonbranch Glade or Bloodvenom Post as the first flight point, base at Emerald Sanctuary, visit Jaedenar and Shadow Hold, where Lord Banehollow is lord of the Shadow Council, cross Timbermaw Hold, then reach Moonglade or Winterspring.

Warcraft Wiki says Felwood was once protected by Cenarius before the Burning Legion befouled it with the Skull of Gul'dan, and that a Cenarion Circle camp with a flight path now stands on the road in.

How do you get to Felwood?

The road to Felwood is a fork in Ashenvale. According to Warcraft Wiki, Alliance players head east from Astranaar to the north-branching road and take the north fork, and Horde players head west from Splintertree Post to the same road. A Cenarion Circle camp with a flight path stands along it. Talonbranch Glade links to Auberdine, Talrendis Point, the Shrine of Remulos and Everlook, and Bloodvenom Post links to Orgrimmar, the Crossroads, Valormok, the Shrine of Remulos and Everlook. Emerald Sanctuary connects to both. Prepare in the Ashenvale guide and the Darkshore guide.

What quests are in Felwood?

Warcraft Wiki's quest table for Felwood includes repeatable work. It lists Grazle at Emerald Sanctuary with Timbermaw Ally (48), Greta Mosshoof with Forces of Jaedenar (51) and Collection of the Corrupt Water (52), and Arathandris Silversky and Maybess Riverbreeze with Cleansing Felwood (55) and repeatable salve quests. What is Timbermaw Hold?

Timbermaw Hold is the furbolg stronghold in northeast Felwood and the on-foot route to Moonglade and Winterspring, according to Warcraft Wiki. Warcraft Wiki's Felwood (Classic) page and the Classic WoW fandom wiki both call the Timbermaw one of the two tribes of pure furbolgs left in the world. Nafien and Salfa stand outside the gates, and Meilosh is inside. Warcraft Wiki's quest table lists Speak to Nafien (55), and the Runecloth quest requires Friendly standing with Timbermaw Hold. Read the furbolgs guide for the wider story.

What is the story of Felwood?

Warcraft Wiki's Classic page says Felwood was once protected by Cenarius and was later befouled by the Burning Legion with the Skull of Gul'dan. Its Felwood page says the dreadlord Tichondrius and the skull corrupted it during the Third War, and its Tichondrius page says he began corrupting the forests with the artifact. Warcraft Wiki's Classic page names Lord Banehollow, at Shadow Hold, as lord of the Shadow Council, and its main page says the council operates from Jaedenar. The Classic page lists Jaedenar at 3,500 residents, the largest settlement on its list, and says night elf divine magic has failed to heal the land. Read the Burning Legion guide and the Shadow Council guide. The free Lore Forever add-on adds readable background at each camp, and the optional Willo companion answers lore questions by voice.
