Valley of Heroes
The story
The Valley of Heroes forms the monumental southern entrance to Stormwind City, carrying travellers across a stone bridge spanning the moat. Flanked by towering statues honoring the leaders of the Alliance Expedition to Draenor, it serves as both an awe-inspiring welcome and a heavily fortified checkpoint.
Erected during the grand rebuilding of Stormwind following the Second War, the statues lining the causeway commemorate the commanders of the Alliance Expedition. These champions marched through the Dark Portal into the orcish homeworld of Draenor to seal the rift forever, giving their lives so Azeroth might survive. Visitors proceeding north toward the Trade District pass beneath the visages of Archmage Khadgar, Kurdran Wildhammer, Ranger-Captain Alleria Windrunner, Force Commander Danath Trollbane, and High General Turalyon.
