Silver Stream Mine
The story
Silver Stream Mine is a depleted dwarf mine located in northern Loch Modan, nestled between Algaz Station and the Stonewrought Dam. Once a rich silver vein for the kingdom of Ironforge, the excavated hollow was repurposed as a Miners' League supply depot before being overrun by vermin. Today, Tunnel Rat kobolds squat inside the tunnels, hoarding stolen equipment and rare mineral curiosities.
Silver Stream Mine once flowed with precious ore, contributing heavily to the silver reserves of Ironforge. In time, the dwarf pickaxes dug deep enough to exhaust the primary veins, turning the sprawling chambers into an empty subterranean complex. Rather than abandon the hard-won earthworks, the Miners' League transformed the shafts into a secure storage depot for tools, mining crates, and regional equipment. It also serves as the only known source of rare Charged Rift Gems, which draw inquisitive arcanists searching for delicate tailoring reagents.
