Shining Strand

The Shining Strand is the strip of shoreline hugging Lordamere Lake along eastern Silverpine Forest, stretching south from the Ruins of Lordaeron toward the rugged foothills of Alterac. Once dominated by aggressive Vile Fin murlocs, the shores are now contested ground where Forsaken encampments watch the water and skirmish with encroaching worgen.

Running along the eastern edge of Silverpine Forest, the Shining Strand borders the misty waters of Lordamere Lake. In earlier days, the Vile Fin tribe of murlocs established several aggressive settlements along these shallows, posing a deadly hazard to anyone attempting to travel the lake road. While the Vile Fins have largely shifted their presence eastward to the Dawning Isles, the shore remains far from peaceful. Forsaken scouts and apothecaries have established footholds along the strand, contending with feral worgen roaming out from the deep woods and keeping a watchful eye on both the waters and the hills bordering Alterac.
