Scholomance
Hidden deep within the crypts beneath Caer Darrow, Scholomance is the Scourge's premier academy of dark arts and necromancy. Here, mortals and undead alike study the Plague of Undeath and fleshcrafting under the sadistic guidance of Darkmaster Gandling and the watchful gaze of the lich Ras Frostwhisper.
A Pact of Ruin
Before the Third War, Caer Darrow was the proud seat of House Barov, a wealthy aristocratic dynasty holding vast lands across Lordaeron, including Brill, Tarren Mill, and Southshore. Fearing the loss of their wealth and mortality, the Barovs succumbed to Kel'Thuzad's seductive promises of eternal life. They deeded their fortress and ancestral catacombs to the Cult of the Damned, who promptly repaid the nobles by butchering them and turning the sprawling crypts into a hidden necromantic training ground.
