Mardenholde Keep
Mardenholde Keep is the imposing stone citadel overlooking Hearthglen in the northern reaches of the Western Plaguelands. Once the ancestral seat of Lord Tirion Fordring, it now serves as the regional command center for the fanatical Scarlet Crusade under the rule of his son, Highlord Taelan Fordring.
Seat of the Fordrings
Built as the administrative heart of the Hearthglen principality, Mardenholde Keep was long celebrated by the people of Lordaeron for having never breached during the Second War. From its council chambers, Lord Tirion Fordring governed the surrounding vales alongside his trusted advisors, maintaining peace until his controversial trial and exile for defending the orc Eitrigg. Following Tirion's fall, governance fell to his ambitious apprentice Barthilas and eventually passed to Tirion's son, Taelan, who inherited his father's domain on the eve of Lordaeron's destruction.
