Lost Rigger Cove
Tucked away along the eastern cliffs of Tanaris, Lost Rigger Cove serves as the primary base of operations for the Southsea Pirates in the region. Shielded by towering desert mountains on three sides, this hidden port boasts docks, fortified encampments, and an active shipyard constructing new pirate vessels.
Pirates and Mountain Walls
Naturally fortified by sheer rock walls on almost every side, Lost Rigger Cove provides the Southsea Freebooters an ideal maritime stronghold on Kalimdor's southeastern edge. Here, pirate cutthroats, dockworkers, and brigands haul salvage and assemble fresh hulls right under the noses of Gadgetzan's authorities. The cove allows the Southseas to project power across the Great Sea while raiding trade routes between Ratchet, Booty Bay, and coastal settlements.
Rivals on the Doorstep
The pirates do not hold their cove unchallenged. The goblins of Gadgetzan and nearby Steamwheedle Port resent the raiders on their doorstep and pay mercenaries to slaughter the Southseas, thin their ranks, and disrupt their operations.
