Dun Algaz

Dun Algaz is the fortified mountain pass and network of tunnels connecting Loch Modan to the Wetlands. Historically contested during the Second War, this vital trade artery has recently fallen under siege by Dragonmaw orcs, cutting off easy transit between Ironforge's territories and Menethil Harbor.

Dun Algaz predates the War of the Three Hammers, originally serving as the passage the Wildhammer clan used to migrate north after being driven out of Ironforge. Carved deep into the jagged peaks separating Loch Modan and the Wetlands, the pass consists of sweeping stone tunnels, bastions, and watchposts. Its strategic value cannot be overstated: whoever holds Dun Algaz commands the only overland highway linking the dwarven heartlands to the western sea at Menethil Harbor.
