Naralex

Naralex is a night elf druid who sought to restore the parched Barrens to a lush forest using the powers of the Emerald Dream. Instead, his slumber was overtaken by a dark nightmare, twisting the Wailing Caverns beneath the earth and turning his followers into venomous fiends.

Long before the Great Sundering, the sun-scorched plains of the Barrens were once a vibrant forest. Viewing this loss as a tragedy, Naralex journeyed south from Darnassus with a cohort of devoted disciples to reverse the drought. Deep beneath the savannah, he discovered an intricate subterranean network of underground springs and rushing geysers, naming them the Wailing Caverns after the howling wind and steam that moaned through the rock. He believed that by entering a deep trance and channeling the pristine energies of the Emerald Dream into these subterranean waters, the life-giving flow would reach the surface and cause the entire wasteland to bloom.
