Mudsnout Mixture
Mudsnout Mixture is a toxic alchemical base concocted by Master Apothecary Faranell in the Undercity. Created by blending a mudsnout composite with an alchemical colloid of decay, it serves as the foundation for the Royal Apothecary Society's deadly Elixir of Agony.
A Colloid of Decay
When Apothecary Lydon in Tarren Mill seeks to craft a virulent new biological weapon, he sends a base composite of Mudsnout Blossoms, toxic mushrooms from the gnoll-held Nethander Stead, north to the Undercity. Impressed by the composite's potential, Master Apothecary Faranell introduces his own colloid of decay into the blend, producing the volatile Mudsnout Mixture. The solution stabilizes the mushroom compound while readying its virulent properties for further catalytic refinement back in the foothills.
