Wanted Bruuz Quest in WoW Forever: Ratchet Bounty and Reward
WANTED: Bruuz is a new Elite quest in the Barrens in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever): a WANTED object at 62.6, 37.5 near Ratchet sends you after the shark Bruuz, and Gazlowe is the turn-in for his Dorsal Fin, which pays 1,950 XP. ForeverChanges lists it as a level 20 quest that requires level 15, marked New in Forever.
Quick answer: Take the quest at the WANTED object by Ratchet, find Bruuz in the harbour, collect Bruuz's Dorsal Fin and return it to Gazlowe. WoW Handbook calls Bruuz an elite and advises grouping up. Rewards differ between databases; see below.
Ratchet is a goblin harbour on the Barrens coast. Forever Codex's quest text, signed by Gazlowe, tells of a giant shark circling the waters near the shipping dock, which dockworkers nicknamed Bruuz, with a reward offered for his fin.

Where do you start WANTED: Bruuz?
Go to the WANTED object beside Ratchet, on the Barrens coast. ForeverChanges, Sense OS and WCLBox give 62.6, 37.5 for it, and ForeverChanges puts Gazlowe at 62.6, 36.2 while Sense OS, WCLBox and WoW Handbook say 62.7, 36.2. WoW Handbook's Ratchet route, updated October 28, files the Bruuz bounty with the Baron Longshore bounty as a harder job once you are level 13 or higher. The Barrens guide and Horde leveling guide cover the zone.
Where is Bruuz, and how hard is he?
Bruuz is an elite shark at the harbour. WoW Handbook says "Bruuz is an elite in the harbour, so group up for him" and gives 63.7, 38.7; WCLBox lists him around 64, 39. Warcraft Wiki has a separate Bruuz page for Season of Discovery: a level 20 elite shark on the Merchant Coast near Ratchet, weakened with a Fishing Harpoon. That page does not mention Forever or this quest, so the harpoon may not apply. See looking for group.
What does WANTED: Bruuz reward?
Forever Codex and hyjal.cc list 1,950 XP, 25 silver and +100 reputation with Ratchet; Forever Codex puts the XP at 8 percent of level 20. hyjal.cc lists no item reward, and Forever Codex shows no quest chain.
Who is Gazlowe, and what is Ratchet?
Warcraft Wiki says Gazlowe is a goblin engineer who founded the port of Ratchet at the mouth of the Southfury River once Orgrimmar was done. It describes Ratchet as a neutral goblin port on the eastern shore of the Northern Barrens, under the Steamwheedle Cartel, where most quests are open only to Horde. A boat runs from there to Booty Bay; see boats and zeppelins.
What do the sources disagree on?
- Faction: ForeverChanges and WCLBox say Horde; Forever Codex and hyjal.cc do not specify one.
- Level to start: ForeverChanges, Forever Codex, hyjal.cc and WCLBox say 15; WoW Handbook's route says 13 or higher; Sense OS gives none.
- Money: Forever Codex and hyjal.cc say 25 silver. ForeverChanges prints "250 gold, 25 silver", but its Uncovering the Past page prints 220 gold beside a "Pays 22s instead of 25s" note, so it looks like a display error. WCLBox lists no rewards and Sense OS lists no item or reputation reward.
- Spelling: WCLBox writes "Bruz" and garbles Gazlowe's name in the objective.
What is not confirmed yet
The data comes from the beta; Forever Codex dates its English text to build 1.60.1.69977. No source I opened says how to trigger or respawn Bruuz.
How can the Lore Forever add-on and Willo help with the Ratchet bounties?
The free Lore Forever add-on gives readable story and recorded narration for the zone you are in, a Lore button on quests, and a Journey page of finished quests. Willo is a Windows companion app: hold your talk key, ask where the next bounty is, hear the answer, and pin the WANTED spot on your journey map. She is free to start with 50 answers a day, works without the add-on, and can be wrong, so check coordinates in game. Lore Forever is fan-made.
