WoW Forever The Stockade: Level 25-29 Dungeon in Stormwind
The Stockade is the level 25 to 29 prison dungeon in the canals of Stormwind in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever), where an Alliance group fights through six bosses to end a prisoner revolt. Warcraft Tavern's Forever guide says the dungeon has not changed much from Classic apart from some updated loot.
Quick answer: Enter through the Canals of Stormwind City, near the Mage Quarter, about 42, 58 on Warcraft Tavern's map. Clear a T-shaped cell block to reach six bosses, one of them a rare. All six dungeon quests are Alliance-only, and Horde players will find the dungeon hard to reach.

Under Stormwind, a prison has lost its guards. The prisoners have taken over, and Warden Thelwater waits outside for adventurers willing to put the uprising down.

Where is The Stockade entrance in WoW Forever?
The entrance lies in the canals of Stormwind. Warcraft Tavern places it in the Canals of Stormwind City near the Mage Quarter at about 42, 58, and Method also places it in the Mage Quarter. Warden Thelwater stands outside and gives the first quests. For the city itself, read the Stormwind history; for the roads that lead there, the travel guide.
What level is The Stockade in WoW Forever?
Warcraft Tavern lists The Stockade at levels 25 to 29, in both its Forever dungeon list and the dungeon guide. Method lists 24 to 32. Kami Labs lists a single "Level 23" with an entry level of 15, which is a different kind of figure. Warcraft Tavern's Classic guide gives a level requirement of 15 and a recommended range of 22 to 30. The leveling 10 to 30 guide shows where the dungeon sits among the others in that band, and the dungeons overview lists them all.
Who are The Stockade bosses?
Warcraft Tavern lists six: Targorr, Kam Deepfury, Hamhock, Bazil Thredd, Dextren Ward and the rare Bruegal Ironknuckle. Method names the same six. Warcraft Tavern gives levels for four of them: Targorr at 24, Dextren Ward at 26, Kam Deepfury at 27 and Hamhock at 28, all elites. It says Kam Deepfury stuns with Shield Slam, Hamhock casts Chain Lightning and Bloodlust, and Dextren Ward uses Intimidating Shout. Bruegal Ironknuckle is the rare one. Warcraft Wiki's current Stockade page names Randolph Moloch, Lord Overheat and Hogger instead, because it describes the Cataclysm-era revamp of the dungeon, not the Forever lineup.
Which quests belong to The Stockade?
Both Warcraft Tavern and Method list six, all for the Alliance. They are What Comes Around... from Guard Berton in Redridge Mountains, Crime and Punishment from Councilman Millstipe in Duskwood, The Fury Runs Deep from Motley Garmason in the Wetlands, and Quell The Uprising, The Color of Blood and The Stockade Riots, which start in Stormwind. Warden Thelwater gives Quell The Uprising and The Stockade Riots. Method says The Stockade Riots requires a letter looted from Edwin VanCleef in the Deadmines, and that The Fury Runs Deep requires finishing The Dark Iron War in the Wetlands. The Defias Brotherhood explained covers that thread.
Can Horde players run The Stockade?
Horde players can hardly use it. Warcraft Tavern says the dungeon is "difficult or impossible for Horde players to access" at the intended levels. Method says it was designed as an Alliance-only dungeon, with no Horde quests and no easy way in.
What is the story of The Stockade?
Warcraft Wiki describes a prison complex run by Warden Thelwater and dates a revolt of Defias-backed prisoners to the year 25 after the Dark Portal. Thelwater recruited adventurers to kill the mastermind, Bazil Thredd. WoW Is Classic's Classic guide tells the same outline and adds that the guards were driven out, and Warcraft Tavern says the prisoners are "no longer being guarded" and that you clear the jail to "shutdown the prison revolution." The free Lore Forever add-on shows quest background as you play; it is fan-made.
What is not confirmed yet
- Level range: sources disagree, as noted above.
- Final boss: Warcraft Tavern's page names both Bazil Thredd and Dextren Ward as the last encounter, and Method says five bosses plus a rare.
- Loot changes: Warcraft Tavern says loot was updated and does not say which items.
