WoW Forever Launch Time New Zealand: Noon, Thursday Nov 5
World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever) launched in New Zealand at 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 5, 2026, in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch (NZDT, UTC+13). Blizzard sets one global moment, 3:00 p.m. PST on Wednesday, November 4, which is 23:00 UTC. This page answers "what time does WoW Forever launch in New Zealand" now that the moment has passed, as of November 5, 2026.
Quick answer: Noon on Thursday, November 5 in NZDT. Blizzard's table has no New Zealand column: it has one Australia and New Zealand column on AEDT at 10:00 a.m., so New Zealand adds 2 hours to that figure. Players reported a login queue in the first minutes.

Key facts
- Global launch: November 4, 2026, 3:00 p.m. PST, 23:00 UTC (Blizzard)
- Blizzard's regional column: Australia and New Zealand (AEDT), 10:00 a.m., November 5
- New Zealand: 12:00 noon, Thursday November 5 (NZDT, UTC+13; my conversion)
- Chatham Islands: 12:45 p.m. (UTC+13:45; time zone database only)
- Daylight saving: began Sunday, September 27, 2026 (timeanddate)
What time did WoW Forever launch in Auckland and Wellington?
At noon on Thursday, November 5. Blizzard's launch post gives the moment as 3:00 p.m. PST, and its table lists UTC as 23:00 on November 4. New Zealand's daylight time began on September 27, 2026, according to timeanddate, so Auckland is 13 hours ahead of UTC: 23:00 plus 13 hours is 36:00, which is noon the next day. Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin share that clock.
Why does Blizzard's table say 10:00 a.m. for Australia and New Zealand?
Blizzard's table groups Australia and New Zealand under one column labelled AEDT (the German, French and Korean versions I opened show it this way), Australian Eastern Daylight Time, and gives 10:00 a.m. on November 5. That is the Sydney reading. New Zealand's clocks run 2 hours ahead of Sydney's in November, so the same moment is noon. Compare the Sydney sums in launch time in Australia.
What happened at the New Zealand launch moment?
Blizzard did not publish queue numbers. Blizzard Watch reported on November 4 that the servers came online "a tiny bit later than scheduled", that there was a login queue and that the launch "has gone relatively smoothly" with intermittent lag. TimeSaver, a seller site that compiles player reports, wrote that players saw a "Login Servers are Full" screen from about 23:02 UTC, with queue positions of roughly 660 to 2,000 and rulesets shown as temporarily unavailable for a few minutes. Those readings are about 12:02 p.m. in Auckland (my conversion) and are unconfirmed by Blizzard. The two reports differ on whether servers opened exactly on time. More in launch day queues and errors.
Was there maintenance before the New Zealand launch?
Yes. Blizzard Support's Weekly Maintenance Schedule, which gives PST times, lists World of Warcraft: Forever as "Game unavailable during this time" from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PST on November 4. That is 18:00 to 23:00 UTC, so 7:00 a.m. to noon on Thursday in New Zealand (my conversion).
The clock rule is the same everywhere: start from 23:00 UTC and add your offset. The full list is in launch time by time zone.
What is not confirmed
- Blizzard's own pages do not list New Zealand; the noon reading is a conversion.
- The Chatham Islands reading comes from the time zone database (version 2026f), not from a news source.
- No official queue length, outage or compensation statement for New Zealand is known to me as of this morning.
How can the Lore Forever add-on and Willo help?
The free Lore Forever add-on adds readable and recorded stories for zones, cities and dungeons; it has no internet access, and its narrators are generated voices. Willo is a separate companion app for Windows 10 or 11; her page also lists an Apple Silicon Mac download (macOS 12 or later), and her FAQ now says Windows and Mac, though CurseForge still calls her a Windows app. She is free to start with 50 answers a day, and "Willo sees your game" is Hero and up with Live game info turned on in both the add-on and Willo. Both are fan-made, not affiliated with Blizzard, and Willo can be wrong.
