WoW Forever Guild Creation: Cost, Signatures, Requirements
Players report that a guild charter in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever) costs 10 silver, and that other players must sign it before you can register the guild. Blizzard has published no guild page, so the price and signature count come from forum posts and third-party guides as of November 6, 2026, and they disagree on 9 versus 10. The one rule Blizzard states is that members must share your ruleset and faction.
Quick answer: Buy a charter (about 10 silver per player reports), collect signatures from players on your ruleset and faction (9 or 10, sources differ), then hand it in to register. If it fails, file a bug report.

Key facts
- Charter price: 10 silver, reported by players in two Blizzard forum threads on November 6; no Blizzard source
- Signatures: nine per TimeSaver (beta client text) and a player who says the game asks for nine; ten per a GitHub bug report and players in one forum thread
- Same side: characters join guilds only with players on the same ruleset and faction (Blizzard Starter Guide)
How much does it cost to make a guild in WoW Forever?
Two Blizzard forum threads put the charter at 10 silver. One player "paid the 10 silver for the charter"; another lost 40 silver buying four after a mistyped name. TimeSaver, a gold-selling site, wrote on November 2 that Blizzard had not announced a price and earlier WoW charged 10 silver. No Blizzard page I opened confirms it.
How many signatures does a WoW Forever guild need?
Sources conflict. TimeSaver says beta client text asks for nine signatures, which with the founder makes ten people. A GitHub bug report from September 18 says charters "typically require 10 unique signatures." In a November 5 thread players mention 10 signatures and "all nine required signatures." A November 6 thread titled "9 Signatures?" has a player asking why they need nine, with no reply. Bind on Forever says the server sets the number.
Early in the beta a bug let charters be handed in with none, per TimeSaver and Bind on Forever quoting Blizzard's known-issues post. The GitHub report is marked closed, which does not say whether signatures apply now.
What do you need before you start?
Blizzard's Starter Guide says characters can group, join guilds and raid only with players on the same ruleset and faction. TimeSaver and Bind on Forever say you buy the charter from a guild master NPC in a capital. Warcraft Wiki's page, which describes modern WoW, says alternate characters on one account cannot both sign; TimeSaver relays a player saying the same in Forever, so treat it as unconfirmed.
Why is my guild charter not working?
Players report these, none acknowledged by staff in the threads I read:
- A name shows as "already taken" although players say /who finds no such guild, and some say the charter is used up (thread 2401477).
- A player says a guild name on a PvP realm blocks the same name on a PvE realm.
- Players on the Alliance Skyborne server getting "You cannot invite players from the opposing faction" when signing.
Blizzard's November 5 known-issues thread lists no guild entry, though it says it is not comprehensive. A community member's reply says to file a report in the "WoW: Forever Bug Report" category.
What about the guild bank and tabard?
TimeSaver says the first bank tab cost 100 gold in the beta, per player reports; see our guild bank guide and guilds overview. I found no Forever source for a tabard price.
What is not confirmed yet
- Blizzard's official price and signature count.
- Whether unsigned charters work.
- Tabard availability and cost.
- Whether the name collision is a bug or a rule.
How can the Lore Forever add-on and Willo help with this?
Neither makes a guild. The free Lore Forever add-on, fan-made and not affiliated with Blizzard, has no internet access and tells the story of your quests. Willo is a separate companion app for Windows 10 or 11 and Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 12 or later), per her page; her FAQ and the Lore Forever FAQ say Windows and Mac, though CurseForge still calls her a Windows app. Her Notebook holds to-dos per character, such as "collect guild signatures." She is free to start with 50 answers a day and can be wrong, so trust the guild master's text.
