WoW Forever Cooking, Fishing and First Aid Guide: The Secondary Professions
In World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever), Cooking, Fishing and First Aid are the three secondary professions: every character can learn all three on top of two primary professions, and each trains in ranks up to skill 300. According to Warcraft Tavern, secondary professions cannot be unlearned, and Blizzard Watch reports that First Aid now makes healing potions for everyone.
Quick answer: Take all three, because they cost no profession slot. Pair Cooking with Fishing, and First Aid with Herbalism. Most cooked food gives an experience bonus, so Cooking helps while you level, not only at the top.

When the road is long and the sun is going down, someone in the party always carries the fire, the line and the bandages. These three crafts are theirs, and none asks you to give up your forge or your herb satchel.

How do you learn Cooking, Fishing and First Aid?
Look for the cook's fire, the lakeshore and the field surgeon. WoW Professions lists a trainer in each starting zone: Cook Torka in Razor Hill and Tomas in Goldshire teach Cooking, while Lau'Tiki at Sen'jin Village and Lee Brown at Crystal Lake teach Fishing. Zephras Isle has trainers for both too. See the Zephras Isle guide.
Warcraft Tavern says the tiers are Apprentice to skill 75, Journeyman from 50 to 150, Expert from 125 to 225 and Artisan from 200 to 300, with character levels 10, 20 and 35 for the upper three. WoW Professions says Expert Cooking comes from a cookbook sold in Ashenvale or Desolace, and Expert First Aid from a book sold in the Arathi Highlands or Dustwallow Marsh. Artisan needs level 35 and skill 225, through the Clamlette Surprise quest in Gadgetzan for Cooking and the Triage quest for First Aid.
What does Cooking do in WoW Forever?
A hot meal is the oldest magic on the road. Warcraft Tavern says Cooking needs Flint and Tinder to make campfires, and that most cooked food gives an experience bonus. Recipes were tweaked to favor one primary stat, and new dishes such as Plated Armorfish and Savory Whimsyfin Delight, which turns you into a Murloc or an Ogre, were added.
Fish come from Fishing, meat and eggs from beasts, and spices and spring water from Cooking Supplies vendors. Cookie's Stirring Rod, which drops from Cookie in the Deadmines, raises Cooking speed by 25% while equipped.
What does Fishing do in WoW Forever?
Patience pays in water. Warcraft Tavern says you can fish in any deep water, that schools and wreckage can offer exotic fish or valuable goods, and that Forever adds Uncommon and Rare fish, a Chef's Knife for preparing Unique Fish, and a Fishing Tournament in Stranglethorn Vale whose winners get the Arcanite Fishing Pole.
Both Warcraft Tavern and WoW Professions list the lures: Shiny Bauble (+25 Fishing skill), Nightcrawlers (+50), Bright Baubles (+75) and Aquadynamic Fish Attractor (+100). The Fish Bowl camp item has the same effect as Blessing of Kings, according to Warcraft Tavern.
What is new about First Aid in WoW Forever?
Every party wants someone who can mend. Blizzard Watch reported on October 16 that First Aid now crafts healing potions, from Minor Healing Potion at skill 1 to Major Healing Potion at 275, each needing spices as well as herbs. Warcraft Tavern adds that the potions are instant and usable in combat, that Anti-Venom is kept, and that new anti-bleed and anti-disease recipes cannot be used in combat. Bandages still come from cloth. Blizzard Watch adds Poultices that cure disease and Tourniquets that stop bleeds.
How do camp items work for these professions?
Warcraft Tavern's camping page says a Basic Campfire, learned at skill 1, holds three other objects, a Journeyman Campfire (skill 90) holds five and an Expert Campfire (skill 220) holds ten. Cooking adds Cookie's Feast (skill 140) and the Iron Oven (300); Fishing adds the Fish Bowl (20), Fishing Rack (140) and Fishing Hut (300). Warcraft Tavern's professions page says camp buffs do not stack with their class versions and are slightly worse, so the Fish Bowl does not stack with Blessing of Kings, and the First Aid Kit gives a Stamina buff like Power Word: Fortitude. Read the camping guide for the rules, and the professions guide for your primary pair. The free Lore Forever add-on is fan-made and works beside all of this.
