Anduin Lothar

Sir Anduin Lothar, known as the Lion of Stormwind, was the last descendant of the ancient Arathi bloodline and the Supreme Commander of the Alliance of Lordaeron. A childhood companion of King Llane Wrynn and the Guardian Medivh, Lothar led humanity through the horrors of the First War and rallied the northern nations during the Second War before falling at Blackrock Mountain.

The Lion's Youth

Carrying the ancient bloodline of the Arathi kings, Lothar grew up within Stormwind's royal court alongside Prince Llane Wrynn and Medivh. The trio embarked on reckless excursions into the wilderness, skirmishing with Gurubashi trolls in Stranglethorn Vale. Lothar rose rapidly through Stormwind's martial ranks, joining the King's Honor Guard and earning renown as an Armsman of the Brotherhood of the Horse.

Supreme Commander and Blackrock Mountain

Arriving on the shores of Lordaeron, Lothar presented the grim reality of the Horde to King Terenas Menethil II. Invoking his ancestral Arathi lineage and diplomatic gravitas, he unified the human realms, Ironforge dwarves, and high elves into the Grand Alliance of Lordaeron. Named Supreme Commander of the united forces, Lothar spearheaded the campaign that pushed the Horde back south to the foot of Blackrock Mountain. There, in a fateful clash near the end of the Second War, Lothar was slain by Warchief Orgrim Doomhammer. His death did not shatter the Alliance; instead, it galvanized his lieutenant, Turalyon, to lead the charge that broke the Horde forever.
