Terrordale

Once a quiet settlement in northern Lordaeron, Terrordale fell along with the rest of the kingdom to the Scourge. Today, the village stands in grim ruin near the mouth of the Terrorweb Tunnel. Its streets are choked with restless shades and wandering undead, while the surrounding trees of the Plaguewood encroach on its rotten timber. Amidst the desolation, only a handful of eccentric residents dare remain—such as the peculiar merchant Augustus the Touched and the ghost hunter Egan, who attempts to free the tortured spirits caught between worlds.

The anguish of Terrordale's demise ran so deep that the physical world literally buckles beneath the torment of the spirit realm. Terrordale spirits linger in perpetual agony, bound to the earth by their tragic ends. Because of this concentrated spiritual corruption, seasoned paladins under the guidance of the Silver Hand and Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker are dispatched here to perform rites of judgment and sacrifice, banishing the torment as a sacred trial of holy discipline.
