Sun Rock Retreat is a hidden Horde sanctuary nestled high within the central peaks of the Stonetalon Mountains, just south of Mirkfallon Lake. Dominated by tauren and orcish forces, it serves as the Horde's primary staging ground and supply post in the region. Beyond its strategic utility, the settlement rests upon sacred ground long revered by the tauren for its deep spiritual resonance.

Tucked away in a mountain basin south of Mirkfallon Lake, Sun Rock Retreat has long held spiritual importance for the tauren. According to ancient tradition, An'she, the Sun, kissed the very mountain peak where the village stands. For generations before the Horde's arrival, tauren shamans and pilgrims journeyed here to perform rituals bridging the mortal veil, drawing strength from the land's strong bond to the spirit world.
