Stonewrought Pass
Stonewrought Pass is an underground tunnel cut directly through the southern mountains of Loch Modan into the blighted expanse of the Searing Gorge. Masterfully engineered by the famed architect Franclorn Forgewright, this passage connects the Valley of Kings directly to Dustfire Valley. Heavy iron gates secure both ends to protect peaceful dwarven lands from the volcanic terrors to the south.
A Gateway Carved in Stone
Carved out of the bedrock by the legendary master architect Franclorn Forgewright—famed also for the massive Stonewrought Dam—the Stonewrought Pass serves as a direct corridor between the pastoral beauty of Loch Modan and the scorched wastes of Searing Gorge. Emerging in Loch Modan near the colossal Valley of Kings, it cuts straight through the mountain ridge down into Dustfire Valley. Because Searing Gorge is infested with Dark Iron dwarves and fiery beasts, the Ironforge mountaineers keep the passage locked tight behind heavy gates to prevent danger from spilling into the north.
