Stagnant Oasis

The Stagnant Oasis is one of the precious bodies of water nestled in the arid heart of the Barrens, positioned between the Gold Road and the Merchant Coast. Ringed by lush palms and contested by Kolkar centaur, its murky waters and surrounding shores sustain unique local wildlife, including snapping turtles and wandering kodos.

Tucked away east of the Gold Road and inland from the Merchant Coast, the Stagnant Oasis provides a vital pocket of greenery amid the dusty scrubland of the Barrens. Like its neighboring waters, the pool supports dense foliage and aggressive snapjaw turtles, while weakened Barrens kodos often stray here away from the massive herds of the Field of Giants. However, travelers must tread carefully: Kolkar centaur maintain encampments along its banks, fiercely guarding the water rights against any who wander into their territory.
