Field of Giants

The Field of Giants is an expansive plain covering the southern Barrens between Camp Taurajo and the marshes of Dustwallow. Named for the towering kodo, thunder lizards, and massive beasts that graze its arid scrub, the region has recently grown far more perilous due to an encroaching silithid infestation.

Stretching along the southern span of the Gold Road, the Field of Giants is remote, rugged, and lightly defended compared to the Barrens to the north. While the road's wooden watchtowers stand largely abandoned, the land itself thrums with life. Tremendous herds of Kalimdor's megafauna wander the vast flats, drawing hunters and naturalists alike. However, safety is elusive here: dwarven excavators from Bael Modan dig aggressively to the south, and a far more sinister menace has begun burrowing beneath the earth.
