Shadowglen

The story

Shadowglen is a secluded, twilit vale nestled within the northeastern boughs of Teldrassil. Dominated by the great barrow-tree Aldrassil, it serves as the safe haven where young night elves take their first steps into service before journeying out into the wider world.

Tucked away in the northeastern canopy of Teldrassil, Shadowglen is ringed by high ridges that shelter it from the rest of the world. Bathed in eternal dusk, the vale centers on Aldrassil, a massive barrow-tree whose hollowed trunk houses elders, priestesses, and mentors for young night elves beginning their training. The only route out of the valley leads south through a narrow mountain pass toward Starbreeze Village and Dolanaar, making Shadowglen one of the most naturally fortified and peaceful sanctuaries on the World Tree.

Questions, answered

What is Shadowglen?

Shadowglen is the sheltered starting grove for the night elves, located in the northeastern reaches of Teldrassil. It is a peaceful, secluded haven centered around the grand tree Aldrassil, where novices train under mentors before journeying across the World Tree.

What is the massive tree at the center of the glen?

The tree is Aldrassil, a barrow-tree that forms the heart of Shadowglen. Its hollowed interior serves as an administrative lodge and training hub where novice night elves meet class trainers, mentors, and caretakers.

What threats exist in Shadowglen?
