Ruins of Ordil'Aran

The Ruins of Ordil'Aran are the crumbling remnants of an ancient night elf settlement in northwestern Ashenvale, situated between Maestra's Post and Bathran's Haunt. Once a hidden redoubt for shadow cultists, the fallen stones have recently been overrun by the corrupted Thistlefur furbolgs.

Little remains of the original Kaldorei architecture at Ordil'Aran save for weathered pillars, cracked arches, and moss-draped stonework. For a time, the isolated ruins served as a lair for the Cult of the Dark Strand, who lurked among the debris to ambush travelers along the northwestern paths of Ashenvale. Recently, however, violent furbolgs of the Thistlefur tribe drove out the cultists in a bloody takeover. The bodies of fallen Dark Strand practitioners still litter the ground while aggressive furbolgs patrol the perimeter, fiercely guarding the site and the ancient Heartswood tree growing within.
