Refuge Pointe
Refuge Pointe is the primary redoubt for the Alliance and the surviving remnants of Stromgarde within the Arathi Highlands. Perched centrally along the highlands' trade road, it serves as a staging ground to reclaim the shattered capital of Stromgarde Keep and hold back rival forces across the region.
A Bastion for Stromgarde's Remnants
Following the devastation of the Third War and the catastrophic fall of Stromgarde Keep, the bulk of Stromgarde's surviving populace fled south toward friendlier lands. Those who remained formed a resolute vanguard, digging in at Refuge Pointe under Captain Nials. Composed of battle-hardened Stromgarde soldiers, League of Arathor forces, and supporting Alliance specialists, the encampment represents the kingdom's last organized stand in its ancestral homeland.
Stretched to the Limit
Refuge Pointe is constantly on the brink of being overwhelmed. Hemmed in by the Forsaken and the Horde based out of Hammerfall, Witherbark trolls, Syndicate rogues, and Boulderfist ogres, the garrison has zero reserves to spare. When dwarven commanders at the battered Thandol Span desperately requested reinforcements to fight off the Dark Iron clan, Captain Nials had to refuse. Every sword, shield, and scrap of supply stationed at Refuge Pointe must remain dedicated to defending the highlands and preparing a counteroffensive to retake Stromgarde Keep.
