Thandol Span
The Thandol Span is a pair of colossal dwarven stone bridges connecting the Wetlands of Khaz Modan with the Arathi Highlands of southern Lordaeron. Long celebrated as a marvel of engineering and the vital artery between the northern and southern kingdoms, it is currently in a state of disaster following a sabotage attack by Dark Iron infiltrators.
The Fight for the Crossing
The surviving bridge remains contested and heavily guarded. Mountaineers from Ironforge fight desperately to preserve the remaining roadway and repel Dark Iron sappers, suffering painful losses in the process. The loss of the bridge would leave northern trade and military movements almost entirely reliant on maritime routes, cutting off Alliance forces stationed across the Arathi Highlands from immediate reinforcement.
