Rebel Camp

When Colonel Kurzen's expedition pushed deep into the jungles of Stranglethorn Vale on behalf of Stormwind, things rapidly fell apart. Afflicted by the dark jungle magic and the curse of the ogre mage Mai'Zoth, the Colonel and his core loyalists succumbed to madness, turning rogue and terrorizing the wilds. A handful of sound-minded soldiers led by Lieutenant Doren refused to participate in the atrocities. Breaking away from Kurzen's Compound, they established this hidden camp in the north to stage a desperate guerrilla campaign against their former comrades.

Perched precariously near the Duskwood border, the Rebel Camp operates under constant threat. Cut off from regular Stormwind relief, Doren relies on covert supplies and defensive armaments—including goblin explosives brokered through Booty Bay—to hold the perimeter against Kurzen's raiding parties. For Alliance travelers venturing south into the savage jungle, the encampment provides a vital first foothold of sanity.
